Here is my photo from August 2006. Seen on the desktop is my Heathkit SB-104A transceiver and SB-230 linear amp (on top) that were assembled in 1975. In the corner is the Heathkit power supply / speaker with an Icom 2340H dual band FM transceiver on top, hiding behind the desk mike. The 17" Sony monitor and nearby keyboard and mouse connect to a tower PC out of view to the right.  A pair of Icom FM HTs are visible on the desktop to the far right.

You may recognize a few QSLs on the wall as well as a Bell Ringer certificate. The Virginia license plate shows 1977. The Heathkits were built while I was stationed in Virginia with the U.S. Navy Submarine Force.  XYL Mary Ann (KA5BZL) helped to build them.

Above is an earlier view of the SB-104A, with its thousands digit not displaying, probably due to a tired DD700 / DM8880 display driver IC.  I have installed an LED conversion kit from The Heathkit Shop to replace the gas tube display and retire its associated 180 VDC power supply which uses a 25 kHz oscillator. Shown below are close-up photos of the original display and the new display.
